How To Watch: 2017 Millennium DanceSport Championships
It's exactly two weeks until the kickoff of the 2017 Millennium Dancesport Championships in Orlando, FL, and all the action from the prestigious competition is streaming LIVE on FloDance on June 20-24.
It's exactly two weeks until the kickoff of the 2017 Millennium DanceSport Championships in Orlando, FL, and all the action from the prestigious competition is streaming LIVE on FloDance on June 20-24.
Organized by renowned dancer and choreographer Michael Chapman, the event is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. As a competitive dancer, Chapman was a two-time Canadian Exhibition and World Open Professional Exhibition champion as well as a US Pro/Am grand champion. Although he has since retired from competing, Chapman is still a prominent figure in the DanceSport world.
Spectators at this year's competition will be treated to elite-level dancing in all DanceSport categories. Furthermore, attendees will have the options to peruse prominent vendors, displaying the latest and greatest in DanceSport fashion, hair, and makeup.
The first competition round gets started on Tuesday, June 20, at 7:30 AM with the Bronze Rhythm event and followed by solos and showcases. The evening will end with the Amateur Cabaret Championships.
Wednesday and Thursday will continue with the silver and gold level American Rhythm and American Smooth categories, wrapping up with the fourth annual Millennium International Pro AM Team Match Invitational.
Friday will commence the professional and amateur divisions in the International ballroom categories, and Saturday will end the competitive phase of the event with the highly anticipated International Latin event divisions.

Beyond the competition, a major highlight of the event will be the guest performances. There will be Friday evening performances by Slavik Kryklyvyy and Karina Smirnoff as well as Victor Fung and Anastasia Muravyeva. Saturday evening performances will feature Slavik and Karina, Victor and Anastasia, and Michal Malitowski and Joanna Leunis.
The event will come to an end on Sunday, June 25, but before it wraps up, dancers can will enjoy the 2017 Dancesport Congress, led by some of the top names in ballroom and Latin dance.
