83 couples representing 46 National Member Bodies entered the 2014 World Standard that was held at the Multiversum in Vienna-Schwechat on Saturday 15 November. The championship was eagerly anticipated by all as a "brand new" World Champion was to be declared. The 2013 Champions Emanuel Valeri and Tania Kehlet, DEN, had turned professional earlier in the year.

Who were the favourites to become their successors? Two couples were mentioned most often by experts: Simone Segatori - Annette Sudol, GER, and Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova, RUS.

A 6-camera production covering the decisive stages of the 2014 World Standard. With full graphics but without commentary. The 83-minute programme is made up of four (4) parts: the full-length semi-final (1), the interviews prior to the final (2), the full-length final (3) and the interviews with the medallists (4).
