It’s fiesta time in Albuquerque! The 30th anniversary of the New Mexico Dance Fiesta is happening this weekend. This UCWDC-sanctioned event was started by dance couple Mike Haley and Patti Miller, and ballroom coordinator Steve Stevens in 1989. Though the competition has changed hands a few times over the years, it continues to be a can’t miss event full of dancing and great times with dance friends and family.

It’s time for some dancing in the ”The Country Music Capital of the World” - Nashville! Home to the Grand Ole Opry House, the famous “Grand Ole Opry” stage and radio show, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, it’s obvious why this city would draw a crowd for our next UCWDC competition, the Nashville Dance Classic. 

This weekend, hold onto your hat and point your dancing shoes towards Chicago for the 32nd annual Chicagoland Country and Swing Dance Festival. This event has it all - qualifying events for the United Country Western Dance Council’s World Championships, points events for the World Swing Dance Council Jack & Jill swing dance registry, and it’s a part of the original Hustle Dance Tour. 

The Standard competition will kick off this weekend’s upcoming event in Rimini, Italy, and the Latin session will highlight its end. 

And we are back! Off to Italy we travel as we come to stream live the third GrandSlam leg of the year. To be exact, we will be on the eastern coast of the country in the town of Rimini. This is the second year that a GrandSlam will be hosted in this seaside community in a country known for its art, fashion, vespas, pizza, and pasta, as well as impeccable performance in the world of competitive dance.

And of course, we cannot forget about Standard! After the Latin competitors take on the floor in Taipei tomorrow, the Standard couples will have their chance this Sunday, June 2, to participate in the second leg of the 2019 WDSF GrandSlam series.

And now we are off once again, but this time to yet another new stop on this grand journey of DanceSport athletes worldwide: Taipei. Here, we will be awaiting the coming of the second WDSF GrandSlam leg of the annual year in both the Latin and Standard divisions.

Memorial Day is over so that means it’s time to get ready for the 2019 Orange Blossom Dance Festival! This country and swing dance competition was voted a favorite among North American UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council) events. 

Just two weeks ago, we had the luxury of being able to experience the heat of the Standard leg of competition at the WDSF European Championship held in Salaspils, Latvia.­ Now, we would like to “bienvenue,” welcome you, to Paris! The time has come this Saturday, May 25, for the Latin dancers to take to their stage and show their best dancing for yet another major event of the year.

We are awaiting a fantastic weekend here in Latvia as FloDance gets ready to stream the 9th Annual Salaspils Open International DanceSport Competition. This Saturday, May 11, FloDance will be there highlighting two major annual events of the World DanceSport Federation! 

We told you that there was more in store! This Saturday, May 11, 2019, will not only be the date of the WDSF Standard European Championship, but also the WDSF Latin European Cup! 

This Sunday, April 21, 2019, Iberica DanceSport will host the WDSF Standard World Open in Cambrils, Spain. 

We find ourselves in Cambrils, Spain, awaiting the upcoming WDSF World Open Latin and Standard events here at Iberica DanceSport. The beautiful world of dance has competitors traveling to all ends of the earth to experience a thrill like no other: the adrenaline that kicks in from the rush of true DanceSport competition.

Dust off your boots, ladies and gentlemen, because Canada’s largest and longest running country, West Coast swing, and line dance event is almost here!

The Professional Standard competitors will leave their marks this Sunday, March 24, at yet another Super Grand Prix to be held in Pieve di Cento, Italy. Pieve di Cento is renowned for hosting some of the largest World Open events of the World DanceSport Federation, with more than 320 couples registered for both the Standard and Latin programs this year.
